ABOUT
This is the 27th Annual Spring Tournament, open to all active teams.
By completing an RSVP, you are committing to attend the tournament and pay the entry fee. You are also subject to any late fees and cancellation fees. The tournament is first come, first served until the maximum number of teams has been reached.
Withdrawals on or before November 15th are not subject to the tournament/withdrawal fees.
- Teams are guaranteed at least 3-4 pool-play games.
- The tournament is setup as pool-play and teams are ranked based on the fall 2025 standings.
- The tournament first come first serve.
- 2026 non-refundable tournament entry fee: $990/team
REQUIREMENTS & ELIGIBILITY
Team Eligibility
- Must be an active NFHL member in good standing.
- Must have reviewed the current Membership Guide and completed and passed the Annual Assessment.
- Must have paid annual membership dues and not have an outstanding balance.
- There are no minimum game requirements.
Participation Requirements
- Teams that submit a validated RSVP are required to pay the entry fee and are subject to all cancellation and late fees. The tournament entry fee is non-refundable.
- Teams must be able to send a full team to the the tournament OR merge with another NFHL team (for 11 players minimum).
- All players must be eligible participants per each school’s specific club sports eligibility requirements. Rosters must be verified (signed and approved) by the school’s club sports rep.
- All non-local teams (traveling >90 miles) are required to stay at a NFHL partner hotel using the links on the event website.
- Teams must be available to play from 9am-7pm on Friday an d 7am-7pm on Saturday and from 7am-3pm on Sunday.
- Teams can request to play non-Friday games on the RSVP form. The NFHL will do its best to accommodate all requests. Non-Friday game requests will be prioritized for teams traveling significant distances or with extenuating circumstances.
- The schedule is subject to change and game times and/or opponents may be moved.
- Teams must bring light and dark colored shirts/jerseys.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
Player eligibility is determined by each school’s club sports participation policies. All players must be verified by a club sports rep on the final roster, confirming that they meet all university participation requirements. Captains/coaches should check with their club sports department for any eligibility questions.
PRELIMINARY & VERIFIED FINAL ROSTERS
Preliminary Rosters – due March 1st
- All rostered players must meet your school’s specific eligibility requirements. Per NFHL rules, verified alumni are also allowed to be rostered. If your team is found to have any ineligible players on your team, your team can face up to suspension from the league.
- All confirmed players must be added to the team’s LeagueApps roster by this deadline.
Verified Rosters – due April 4th
- Rosters can be downloaded in the LeagueApps portal. A Club Sports Rep must sign and date the roster. This signature verifies that all players are ELIGIBLE players per your school’s club sports policies. If your team is found to have any ineligible players on your team, your team can face up to suspension from the league.
- Verified rosters must be sent to info@nationalfieldhockeyleague.com.
PLAYER WAIVERS
All players must complete their waivers as part of the online registration process on LeagueApps. Players without waivers are not permitted to participate.
CO-ED TEAMS
Male Field Player Addendum: Male Players (Regular and OT) – “Up Two”: The number of male field players allowed for each team is determined prior to the start of the tournament. The team with more male field players, as listed on their final roster submitted to the NFHL, is allowed to field a maximum of 2 more than the number of male field players listed on the opposing team’s roster. The number of male field players on each team’s roster cannot change once the final roster is submitted, regardless of injuries, attendance, etc. The goalie is excluded from this rule.
NOVEMBER 15TH – RSVP DEADLINE
- An RSVP is a commitment to participate in the tournament.
- You will be required to pay tournament dues unless the withdrawal is ON OR BEFORE November 15th. If the team captain or Club Sports Rep withdraws in writing to info@nationalfieldhockeyleague.com ON OR BEFORE November 15th the team will be removed without penalty and will not be charged the tournament entry fee or any withdrawal fees.
- Withdrawals after November 15th are subject to the tournament fee ($950) and all withdrawal fees as stated below.
- Tournament fees are non-refundable.
FEBRUARY 1ST – PAYMENT/P2P DEADLINE
OPTION 1: PAY ONLINE
Easiest and fastest way to pay and avoid accruing late fees. Late fees start accruing February 2nd – see below. Online payments must be made through the team’s ADMIN account (managed by the captain/coach) in the LeagueApps portal. To have the invoice transferred to a different account (Club Sports Rep), please email info@nationalfieldhockeyleague.com with your request.
OPTION 2: MAIL A CHECK
If mailing a check, it must be received by the NFHL by February 1st. Late fees start accruing February 2nd – see below. If you have any concerns that your check will not make it to our office by February 1st, please also make sure your Club Sports Rep submits a Promise to Pay (P2P) email (option 3) to avoid late fees.
OPTION 3: PROMISE TO PAY (P2P) SENT BY CLUB SPORTS DEPARTMENT
Submit the tournament invoice (page 2) to your Club Sports Department if they will be making payment on your team’s behalf. Your Club Sports Rep must send the NFHL a Promise to Pay (P2P) email by February 1st. The P2P email must be sent directly from the team’s Club Sports Rep (or assigned advisor) to info@nationalfieldhockeyleague.com, and include the following:
- Confirmation that the NFHL will receive payment by an extended deadline of March 1st.
For teams that have a P2P sent by Club Sports, the deadline for payment is extended to March 1st.
FEBRUARY 1ST – HOTEL RESERVATION REQUESTS DEADLINE
- Teams traveling >90 miles are required to stay at an NFHL partner hotel.
- Teams will be assigned a hotel for the tournament based on their preferences submitted on the RSVP.

- Teams may modify their reservations up to one time

MARCH 1ST – HOTEL CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION FORM DEADLINE
- Each team must have a credit card authorization completed by March 1st.
- This is the credit card that will be used to hold and pay for the rooms.
- The credit card will not be charged until check-in.
MARCH 1ST – PAYMENT DEADLINE FOR TEAMS THAT HAD A P2P SUBMITTED BY CLUB SPORTS
- If a P2P was submitted by Club Sports the deadline to receive payment is March 1st.

APRIL 1ST – APPAREL PRE-ORDERS
- All tournament shirts and sweatshirts must be pre-ordered.
- Apparel will be available for pick up at the Sportsplex/Training Center registration table only.
- Captains/coaches should send the pre-order link to all players and spectators.
APRIL 4TH – FINAL/VERIFIED ROSTER DEADLINE
- Rosters can be downloaded in the LeagueApps portal.
- A Club Sports Rep must sign and date the roster. This signature verifies that all players are ELIGIBLE players per your school’s club sports policies.
- Verified rosters must be sent to info@nationalfieldhockeyleague.com.
LATE FEES
- Dues OR P2P not received by February 1st: a late fee of $50 will be charged to a team’s account (this will be added on February 2nd).
- Dues OR P2P not received by February 15th: an additional late fee of $50 will be charged to a team’s account (a total of $100 – both late fees – will be added February 16th).
- Dues OR P2P not received by March 1st: if the NFHL has not received a team’s dues or a P2P by March 1st – the team will not be allowed to participate in the Spring Tournament. The team will be removed from the tournament and placed on probation and their account deactivated on the NFHL website. The team will only be reinstated with a majority vote from the NFHL officers and once the tournament dues and all late fees have been paid.
CANCELLATIONS/WITHDRAWALS
All teams must cancel in writing (send email to info@nationalfieldhockeyleague.com). Teams that have submitted a written RSVP and cancel:
- On or before November 15th: no penalty. The team will not be responsible for tournament dues.
- On or before February 1st: still required to pay dues by February 1st. Failure to pay dues will result in probation from the league. A team put on probation will be reinstated once the dues have been paid.
- February 2nd – March 1st: still required to pay dues and any accrued late fees PLUS a $200 fine by March 1st. Failure to pay dues and fine and any accrued late fees will result in probation from the league. A team put on probation will be reinstated once the dues any accrued late fees and the fine have been paid.
- March 2nd – April 1st: still required to pay dues and any accrued late fees PLUS a $350 fine by April 1st. Failure to pay dues and fine and any accrued late fees will result in probation from the league. A team put on probation will be reinstated once the dues any accrued late fees and fines have been paid.
- April 2nd or later: still required to pay dues and any accrued late fees PLUS a $750 fine by April 15th. Failure to pay dues any accrued late fees and the fine will result in probation from the league. A team put on probation will be reinstated once the dues any accrued late fees and fines have been paid.
NO SHOWS
Teams that have committed to coming to the Spring Tournament (by submitting an RSVP and sending their dues) and cancel on the day of the tournament or do not show up for 1 or more games at the tournament (including playoff games):
- Will be put on probation until notified by the NFHL Board and must pay a fine of $950.
- The team will be reinstated only by majority votes by the NFHL Board.
CODE OF CONDUCT
The NFHL is deeply committed to the safety and well-being of all participants in league events. The NFHL Code of Conduct applies to all league event attendees, including but not limited to, players, captains, coaches and spectators. The NFHL believes that these measures will contribute towards a more positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

Zero Tolerance Policy: The NFHL operates under a zero-tolerance policy for any form of discrimination, harassment, or derogatory comments based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
Immediate Consequences: Any individual found in violation of the
Team Responsibility: Teams, especially coaches/captains, are responsible for ensuring that their fans/spectators adhere to the Code of Conduct. Separate incidents involving different individuals supporting the same team will result in the entire team’s disqualification from the

in memory of Allie Rose Zambito
June 22, 1995 – June 21, 2019
The NFHL Spring Tournament is in memory of NFHL alumna Allie Zambito (#27) who played on the High Point University club field hockey team. Allie was an NFHL all-star and was on the team both her freshman and senior years, when High Point University qualified for the NFHL Fall Championship.
